Leaders from the Central South Carpenters welcomed leaders and employees of Performance Contracting Inc., recently for an open house at the Pasadena Carpenters Training Center, located just outside of Houston.
PCI is the nation’s largest employer of United Brotherhood of Carpenters members.
The group included management personnel, field operations lead workers, and foremen. It was the first time for many of the brothers and sisters employed by PCI to see what the Central South Carpenters offers in Texas. These employees are all part of either Carpenters Local 551 or Industrial Local 724.
Workers also heard from experts representing retirement and health funds to get a clear picture of their increased benefits from a recently ratified new and improved contract. The group also met and heard from Central South EST Jason Engels, Assistant to the EST Kavin Griffin, Texas Training Director Paul Jones, Houston Training Coordinator David Barron, Local 551 Reps Kenneth Fontenot and Terry Darling, and Local 724 Rep Mu Son Chi.
“This event marks the beginning of a new, productive partnership with PCI,” said EST Engels. “We will provide this outstanding company with a skilled workforce that produces safe, exceptional, competitive work, every day.”
