At the recent Louisiana Workforce Commission Registered Apprenticeship Conference, Central South Carpenters’ Council Representative Shanta Prude was a featured speaker to share her own success story.

Shanta explained how workers and contractors benefit from the Central South Carpenters’ Registered Apprenticeship. She shared her experience as a member of the Council, how the apprenticeship program works, and what it’s like being the Council’s Sisters in the Brotherhood Coordinator.

The 2-day event featured added speakers such as Governor John Bel Edwards, Commission Secretary Ava Cates & Apprenticeship Director Stephen Peychaud, and Department of Labor Apprenticeship Director Maria Brady.
