Central South carpenters fuel creation of record-setting solar farm

Duke Energy Renewables' largest solar project is live, thanks in part to the work of Central South carpenters!

The 200 megawatt Holstein Project in Wingate (Nolan County) Texas was a huge success! The projectís design, procurement of inverters, balance of plant systems and construction were performed by Blattner Energy. During peak construction, the project created roughly 400 jobs.

Union carpenters working for Blattner completed this project ahead of schedule with zero issues at startup. Our members installed over 709,000 panels on approximately 1,300 acres. Our carpenters did everything from panel installation and wire management to equipment operation. Through the hard work of our members and dedication of our staff we were able to sign another agreement with Blattner Energy for three more projects.†

And it got media attention! Here's an article about the project:†https://pv-magazine-usa.com/2020/07/07/duke-energy-renewables-largest-solar-project-is-live/
